Billet Aluminum For the Outside of a Nitrous Filter

An important part of any nitrous filter is its durability. Billet aluminum has become the most common option for the exterior build of this part. It is a material that is strong and can handle various conditions. It will need to be maintained properly though.

Billet aluminum has become a common material used for the construction of nitrous filters. This is a form of aluminum that made as a billet material. Billet refers to something that is raw and has not been impacted by a great amount of manufacturing processes. In the case of aluminum this means that the aluminum used for the production of something has not been heavily processed.

The only major alteration that occurs with this material is the shaping of the material. The aluminum will be rolled or shaped into its proper design in order to fit onto the nitrous kit.

A major advantage of billet aluminum is that unlike other types of aluminum this one is more durable. This is because the aluminum has not gone through a great amount of alterations through processing. The aluminum will be able to retain its shape over a long period of time and will be able to safely handle various pressure levels and whatever harmful outside objects may go through the filter.

Even with the strength of this type of filter it will still be very important to keep the filter well maintained over a period of time. When cleaning out the filter it will be important to check on the billet aluminum body of the filter to see that it does not have any cracks or dents in it. If any of these problems are found the entire filter will need to be replaced with a new one so the nitrous kit can continue to work.
