Chronic Yeaast Infection and What You Must Know to Cure It

Chronic yeast infection (candidiasis) is a painful and debilitating health condition caused by Candida fungi. Chronic yeast infection is a type of infection that lasts for more than three or six months. Chronic yeast infection is caused when the Candida fungus multiplies in the body leading to itchiness, inflamed skin, digestive problems and many other complications.

For the many women or men who have experienced a yeast infection at some point in their life, one is definitely enough; however, many people suffer from an infection, degrading their quality of life and causing them endless pain and embarrassment. If the seemingly incessant burning, itching, pain, and discharge of yeast infections just seem to come back, time and time again, no matter what you do, then you may have an infection. Only a doctor can determine if you do have such an infection, but there are several risk factors that can increase your chance of contracting one, including: Frequent use of antibiotics (such as those for a UTI), Chemotherapy or compromised immune system.

Thankfully, there are also many steps you can take to avoid an infection. Because yeast thrive in moist, warm environments, you can also reduce your infection issues by wearing loose clothing and 100% cotton underwear. Often, an infection is caused or exacerbated by a treatment-resistant strain of yeast. This infection can cause painful ulcers around the gastrointestinal system so even swallowing liquid can be difficult for them.

You should understand all the factors involved in infection in order to come up with a solution to this problem. A common case of yeast infection can turn into chronic yeast, if it is left untreated for long. Fortunately, even chronic infection can be controlled, by taking a few apt steps in that direction.
