TeleSeminar Essentials - Don't Be a Stumble Mouth

Don't be a stumble mouth.

If you are going to do a TeleSeminar, take the time and energy to do make your mouth work correctly. Yup, momma was right when she said you should work your brain before you work your mouth. My momma said that and so did yours.

When you do a TeleSeminar, you must think about everything you are going to say, before you say it.

Some TeleSeminar hosts sound like they don't know what they are talking about because of their stumbling and mumbling. Stammering in a search for words during your TeleSeminar can turn your event into a total disaster. Worse, repeating the start of a sentence. "I, I, I, I think, ah, you, you sh, sh should be.." and for some reason the biggie "It.. It.. It.."

Many times it's not what you have to say but how you say it that makes the lasting impression. Groping for words can move the impression meter from the top to the bottom, regardless of subject.

In today's impatient world, don't expect people to strain to interpreter what you are saying. Sound unprepared and you can expect an exodus. If they aren't there when you deliver your offer, how can they spend money with you? Your job is to keep them in the line by giving them quality take home value that doesn't sound like it is coming from a blubbering idiot.

If you listen to TeleSeminars by others, and you should; listen for the stumble mouth syndrome. They are everywhere. The stumble start."It.. It.. It.." is the most popular stutter out there. To not do it yourself, all you gotta do is think about what you are going to say, before you say it..

Compare a TeleSeminar to a major presentation at a sales conference with you on the big stage in front of 350 people. Professional speakers work for years to get the tone and inflection down. Every gesture is rehearsed. They use coaches to help them perfect their timing. ... and they don't say "It.. It.. It.."

Further, ad lib only works for the pros, and only a few pros are really good at it. Surprise: some of the pros you think are great ad libbers are totally rehearsed. A professional can make a rehearsed turn of phrase sound like a spur of the moment off the cuff comment.

Don't think you can wing it. And don't think you can ad lib it. Don't take the presentation of your TeleSeminar for granted. Since you are working on the phone and not on the stage, you can use an outline of your plan and eliminate the stumbles and false starts.

Use the bullet points you created when you wrote the sales page to get the listeners to sign up and make your presentation outline. Type complete sentences for each point. Read those sentences over and over and over. Record them on your iPod and play them in your ear while you do other tasks. Reduce the well-read sentences to a few keywords next to each bullet point on your outline. On game day and you will sound like a seasoned professional and never grope for words or sentence starters.

A winning TeleSeminar is more than just picking up the phone.
