4. Submit your sites to Directories for more added link value. These should be dripped in over time.

5. Look for blogs related to your business and try to comment on the content posted but only comment if you have something useful to add.

6. Look for groups online where answers and solutions are needed to problems and answer the ones you feel you can. You need to make these answers as value-adding as possible because nothing will bring someone rushing to your site if you impress them enough with your knowledge.

7. When you make new entries on your easy at home business properties then use platforms such a Twitter and Stumbleupon to report on your activities but remember not to over do this.

8. Keep your blog or blogs in particular updated with content on a regular basis as once you start to develop a following then people will be looking for your opinion and guidance on a variety of subjects within your industry.

When Marketing an Online Business, Quality Beats Quantity Every Time

Several years ago, in the early days of developing my home based business, I was mesmerized by the big number of marketers focusing on targeting prospects. It took me a while to appreciate the importance of targeting (quality) instead of just going for the big numbers (quantity).

The "more is better" syndrome seems to be some quirk of human nature that can often lead us astray.

For online marketing, it helps greatly to get your website in front of people who are actually looking for the product, service, or opportunity that you are offering. This refers to the concept of marketing your sites to your target audience, rather than wasting your time, effort, and money on people who are not already interested in what you have to offer.

Be wary of "massive action" techniques in this era when many ISPs feel their hottest marketing theme is the blocking of incoming emails, which they decide their customers do not want to receive (they are the self appointed "information police").

Many of the sources of cheap, high volume leads supply you with leads that have absolutely no interest in your particular business (or product or service) and furthermore, have been put into the list in such a manner that can get you into trouble with your ISP because you are unwittingly spamming (many of these bulk
lead lists are created by robots that crawl the Internet and harvest email addresses) the recipients.

In order to be effective in the promotion your particular proposition, whatever it is, you have to seek out your target market. This is as true online as it is offline. Just because you are able to reach huge numbers of people with your message on the Internet far more cheaply and quickly than you can offline,
does this necessarily mean you should?

What's the point of devoting your time and energies to marketing to a massive group of people without first knowing whether they, as a group, have a general interest in what you are offering?

It is much more efficient and effective to first find out where your prospective customers congregate, and then target that congregation, than it is to use a shotgun approach and hope that one of your pellets will somehow find its target (you know...throw enough up against the wall and something is bound to stick). Once again, quality wins out over quantity.

It seems that a great many webmasters have not stopped to ask themselves the all-important question...What is the purpose of my web site? For some reason, many of them seem to think that the purpose of their web site is to give away freebies. Or it could be to be a "showcase" for their products. Or it could be to
create links to all kinds of resources. Or it could be to have fancy flash graphics and build a brand name.

One of the biggest mistakes people new to web design make is going for more "flash" than substance. They bog down their site with a bunch of fancy colored backgrounds, 3-D text, flash presentations, etc. If a visitor to your site is using a 56K connection and has wait to more than 8 seconds for it to load (which can easily happen on sites heavy with graphics), you can expect to lose about 1/3 of your visitors.

If you're a business, the purpose of your web site is to sell a product or service. Your web site should have one main focus.

It should not be selling a dozen products, a dozen opportunities, or linking to a bunch of different affiliate programs. Presenting too many options has a tendency to confuse your visitor. When someone visits your site, it should be clearly obvious what one action you want him or her to take.

1.--You must have experience in sales in order to build a successful internet business--.

There are some tips though that will help you to deal with this problem:

A. Try to set your office in a quite area to avoid noise and distraction. At the same time make sure that you are able to monitor children's activities.

B. Put a schedule to maintain a healthy work-life balance. This way, you will be able to tune to your family needs as well as attend to your customers requirements.

C. Ask for help from your spouse/neighbors if needed.

3.--People who work from home become millionaires overnight--.

Working at home is similar to any other business; as it would also require dedicating a good amount of time as well as a lot of efforts to bring in sufficient income. Therefore, it would be wise to ignore all the statements that promise you of getting rich quickly because in reality they are not other than fault claims.

4.--Work At Home jobs are scams and no money can be earned from the internet--.

A recent study has shown that the average income that someone generates by working at home could reach $63000 per year which really means that the money is there and all you have to do is to seek the good opportunity and find out what would attract other people to your business so that you can start making money.

Always remember that the most important thing while deciding on a home business is to choose something that you would enjoy doing to be successful at it in the future.

5.--Work At Home opportunities are not real--.

First of all, we need to define the meaning of --Work--
Work is any kind of commercial or industrial activity regardless it is a shop or factory or even home business etc. In other words, the term --Work-- can not be defined based on the amount of money that business people make or the place where the business itself is being operated.

6.--Work At Home schemes do not require any sort of investment--.

This is partially true as there are some work at home jobs that could be started without investing money like using your computer or phone initially while getting started, however, this will ultimately require big money and time investment as well. E.g. paying off bills, upgrading your system to newer version etc.

7.--If you are at home then you simply do not work--.

I can assure that those who manage their business from home would feel the impact of this statement in a way or another.

Anyone who works at home can tell you that this is not true. At the same time, that does not mean that these people have control over unexpected situations. In other words, sudden visits or phone calls of family members and friends for instance.

If you feel that such things disturb your work, you should reorganize everything and decide on your daily working hours then firmly inform everybody about the same. Also try to use a different phone number for your business calls and ensure that you only use it for your business contacts. In case you receive a personal call during your business hours; apologize and tell them that you will call later.

To conclude, you need to understand that time worth money and act accordingly. Once you start thinking and acting that way regarding your home business, the rest will follow suit.
