Article marketing success is hinged on submitting articles to submission sites. However, the quality of sites that you submit to has a large impact on the amount of traffic you will receive from your efforts. At the same time you want to keep your costs as low as possible.
There are hundreds of free article submission sites available on the net, but you have to know which ones are worthy of your time. You also have to realize that not all submission sites are what they seem, and if you are not careful your efforts could backfire while also causing you to receive insane amounts of junk email and spam. Basically, you have to evaluate the sites carefully and not fall for the mistakes that are often made by beginning article marketers.
The first thing to notice when looking at free article submission sites is whether or not it is an actual directory or it is a submission service. There are a lot of websites out there that submit your article to multiple article directories for free or for a cost. The free services usually don't submit to the important directories like EzineArticles, but instead they submit to the lower PR sites. This is partially because the higher end directories kick back automated submissions, especially if they are not well checked.
The fact of the matter is that all article directories offer free submission, and there is no need to pay someone to submit your articles for you. Make sure your directories all have a page rank of four or higher to ensure that you will be able to achieve your marketing goals. You should also check the submission guidelines and be sure that your articles can be syndicated through second hand publishing or RSS feed.
