Raw Milk - Whatever in the World is All the Ruckus About Raw Milk?

Raw milk seems to be gaining in popularity every single day. Hardly a day goes by that I don't hear something about it either online or in my local newspaper. But what's all this about anyway?

For those that are unaware, raw "real" milk is simply milk straight from the cow. Or if you prefer, straight from the goat. I personally like cow's milk but there are many who swear by goat's milk.

I believe the reason unpasteurized milk is becoming so popular these days is that more and more people are trying to become healthy and they are finding out the real truth behind pasteurized dairy. And what is that truth? It's not nearly as good for you as it's touted to be in all the commercials. As a matter of fact, it could actually be detrimental to your health.

All those ads that scream at you to drink your milk to avoid osteoporosis as you get older? There's something they are not telling you. The milk you buy in the grocery store is not going to stop your bones and joints from deteriorating, not at all. But they surely are not going to reveal this information to you. Instead, they will bombard you with ads that will pretty much brainwash you into believing your local grocery store milk is the be-all, end-all, and if you don't drink it you won't be healthy.

Not so. The pasteurization process has deemed this sort of milk a "dead" beverage. Don't be fooled. Is raw milk for everyone? Surely not, but before you make a decision on whether or not you would like to try the unpasteurized variety of milk, do your research so that you have made an informed decision.
