As full-time paid employees, many of our life have something in common. First, we are all working hard to earn money for others, which is our company. Secondly, we are are going to experience at least one right-sizing, down-sizing directly or indirectly in our entire career.

for yourself.

The unique and wonderful thing about the Network Marketing

business model is that everyone has the same opportunity to

become the 'owner' of his or her own business - with a fraction

of the investment of time and money of a franchise or traditional

In network marketing the people at the top definitely have a

vested interest in helping others on their team succeed.

Would you rather receive 100% of one person's efforts, or 5% of

the efforts of 100 people?

people don't understand it, and still others have never thought

about or been exposed to it.

A very simple example of residual income is interest earned on

money in the bank or investments. You continue to receive this

income without having to invest any more time to produce it.

Suppose you had the choice of doing a job and earning $1,000

once, or getting paid $50/month for the rest of your life...which

would you choose? If you chose the $50/month you obviously "get"

the concept of residual income.

Clearly, $50/month will surpass a single payment of $1,000

relatively quickly. And if it lasts for a few years, or better

yet - the rest of your life - it will really be a blessing.

Residual income is certainly not about "getting rich quickly",

even though with the right opportunity it's possible to produce a

substantial residual income stream in a relatively short time.

Most people who fail at network marketing either choose the wrong

network organization or just give up too soon and quit because

they expect overnight results. It is important to recognize that

the real beauty of residual income is on the back end, not the

front, and that once you build it you have the financial security

and time flexibility to do just about anything you desire for the

rest of your life!

Last, but not least, lets address GEOMETRIC GROWTH (DUPLICATION):

The classic illustration of geometric growth is the frequently

used penny-a-day example.If you save one penny on the first day,

and double it every successive day, (day two you have 2 pennies

and day three you have 4 pennies, and so on) how much will you

have at the end of 30 days?

work. If I can teach you, I've doubled myself. If we each teach

someone else, we've doubled again. As this duplication or

geometric growth process goes on and on, it can produce some

amazing results in a relatively short period of time, just like

the penny example above.

When Marketing an Online Business, Quality Beats Quantity Every Time

Several years ago, in the early days of developing my home based business, I was mesmerized by the big number of marketers focusing on targeting prospects. It took me a while to appreciate the importance of targeting (quality) instead of just going for the big numbers (quantity).

The "more is better" syndrome seems to be some quirk of human nature that can often lead us astray.

For online marketing, it helps greatly to get your website in front of people who are actually looking for the product, service, or opportunity that you are offering. This refers to the concept of marketing your sites to your target audience, rather than wasting your time, effort, and money on people who are not already interested in what you have to offer.

Be wary of "massive action" techniques in this era when many ISPs feel their hottest marketing theme is the blocking of incoming emails, which they decide their customers do not want to receive (they are the self appointed "information police").

Many of the sources of cheap, high volume leads supply you with leads that have absolutely no interest in your particular business (or product or service) and furthermore, have been put into the list in such a manner that can get you into trouble with your ISP because you are unwittingly spamming (many of these bulk
lead lists are created by robots that crawl the Internet and harvest email addresses) the recipients.

In order to be effective in the promotion your particular proposition, whatever it is, you have to seek out your target market. This is as true online as it is offline. Just because you are able to reach huge numbers of people with your message on the Internet far more cheaply and quickly than you can offline,
does this necessarily mean you should?

What's the point of devoting your time and energies to marketing to a massive group of people without first knowing whether they, as a group, have a general interest in what you are offering?

It is much more efficient and effective to first find out where your prospective customers congregate, and then target that congregation, than it is to use a shotgun approach and hope that one of your pellets will somehow find its target (you know...throw enough up against the wall and something is bound to stick). You will find that by selectively targeting your prospects before marketing to them, your conversion ratio (the proportion of your target market that takes positive action and actually purchases your product or service) will be much higher than the results you would otherwise achieve without first taking the time to target your prospects. Once again, quality wins out over quantity.

It seems that a great many webmasters have not stopped to ask themselves the all-important question...What is the purpose of my web site? For some reason, many of them seem to think that the purpose of their web site is to give away freebies. Or it could be to be a "showcase" for their products. Or it could be to
create links to all kinds of resources. Or it could be to have fancy flash graphics and build a brand name.

One of the biggest mistakes people new to web design make is going for more "flash" than substance. They bog down their site with a bunch of fancy colored backgrounds, 3-D text, flash presentations, etc. If a visitor to your site is using a 56K connection and has wait to more than 8 seconds for it to load (which can easily happen on sites heavy with graphics), you can expect to lose about 1/3 of your visitors.

If you're a business, the purpose of your web site is to sell a product or service. Your web site should have one main focus.

It should not be selling a dozen products, a dozen opportunities, or linking to a bunch of different affiliate programs. Presenting too many options has a tendency to confuse your visitor. When someone visits your site, it should be clearly obvious what one action you want him or her to take.

1.--You must have experience in sales in order to build a successful internet business--.

C. Ask for help from your spouse/neighbors if needed.

3.--People who work from home become millionaires overnight--.

Working at home is similar to any other business; as it would also require dedicating a good amount of time as well as a lot of efforts to bring in sufficient income. Therefore, it would be wise to ignore all the statements that promise you of getting rich quickly because in reality they are not other than fault claims.

4.--Work At Home jobs are scams and no money can be earned from the internet--.

A recent study has shown that the average income that someone generates by working at home could reach $63000 per year which really means that the money is there and all you have to do is to seek the good opportunity and find out what would attract other people to your business so that you can start making money.

E.g. paying off bills, upgrading your system to newer version etc.

7.--If you are at home then you simply do not work--.

I can assure that those who manage their business from home would feel the impact of this statement in a way or another.

Anyone who works at home can tell you that this is not true. At the same time, that does not mean that these people have control over unexpected situations. In other words, sudden visits or phone calls of family members and friends for instance.

If you feel that such things disturb your work, you should reorganize everything and decide on your daily working hours then firmly inform everybody about the same. Also try to use a different phone number for your business calls and ensure that you only use it for your business contacts. In case you receive a personal call during your business hours; apologize and tell them that you will call later.

What is a legitimate opportunity? You would probably agree that by answering a classified ad for a waitress at a local diner is legitimate. Or becoming a sales representative for a major drug manufacturer is legitimate. But, is purchasing the list of companies that hire telecommuters legitimate? Is answering the telephones for 900 numbers legitimate? Is posting your resume for free legitimate?

There are numerous organizations who are trying to keep cyberspace safe for all of us. The World Wide Web has its own version of BBB to try to cut down on illegality. The Recession is Talking, Are You Listening?

If it's only one thing you learn from this recession it should be that a steady income is not secure. Many people have cut expenses, are traveling less, and making various sacrifices. Unemployment lines are full of talented, educated, hard working people who no longer have employment. Many people send out resumes daily while others have given up altogether.

This recession, at some point, will end. Employment will increase, people will see pay raises instead of pay cuts, and consumer spending will resume. At some point our conversations will be more about the movies we saw last weekend rather than if our company is going to have layoffs next month. No matter the amount of government intervention, at some point, the world will see another recession just as it will see another market boom.

For those who still have jobs and for a lot that don't what are you doing now to create a safer and secure financial future? Are you still going to continue relying on your employer to meet all of your financial needs? Is more education the answer or is working overtime your solution to making ends meet? Our current education system is great at producing workers and poor in producing entrepreneurs.

Has Your Home Business Turned a Profit?

I occasionally have a friend or colleague approach me to get my opinion on their latest idea of marketing on-line. My first question usually throws them for a loop. "Why does my opinion matter?" Or more importantly, what have you done to take action on the idea? You see,we humans instinctively look for approval before taking the steps necessary to measure results. Before we can fix a problem there has to be one. Your idea will not make you a dime until you set the plan in motion. It really does not matter how flawed the tactics are to begin with. You must go out and make mistakes so you can test, measure and refine the process.

My college business class was pretty amazing looking back at it. We were essentially taught to have a business model, develop products, seek investors, procure manufacturing and take the product to market. We'll I have some bad news. Unless you work for a fortune 500 company with millions allocated to research and development you will fail miserably with this method.

I say take the product or service to market first. Get the word out about what you're offering and let the marketplace tell you if you should pursue it. Test first and produce later. If you capture potential buyer's information such as name and email address you can promote affiliate products until your project is complete.

Internet marketing is much like horseshoes and hand grenades, just getting close can produce winning results. Don't let ego stand in your way of taking action today. While you may think you need to be perfect implementing you ideas other are going for failure. I personally adopt to go for failure model because it forces me to make mistakes and take action.

Start making your dream of operating a profitable home business a reality today. Decide on a niche that you're passionate about, find products to promote and get started promoting them.
